I am a lucky person. I don’t mean to rub it in, or tempt fate. I just want to be grateful and give credit where it is due.
I have the greatest daughter a mother could hope for, I’m lucky to be married to the most incredible, smart, witty, capable man I could have ever dreamed up. My closest friends are beyond remarkable. My mother is amazing, my siblings are, well, colorful, adding texture to my life. I have friends that are remarkably talented and offer layers to my life I had never imagined.
With all of these remarkable things to be grateful for I have a farm, filled with animals I adore and get to spend 9+ months a year making cheese.
Life is good.
Not to say we don’t have hardships. Sometimes the hard parts of our life seem overwhelming. Recently, the hard parts have felt like some sort of specialty vice, squeezing my heart from all sides until the tears finally flow to alleviate the pressure. Now when they do, I have this blog to go back to and remember all the things I have to be grateful for… yet one more thing to include in my gratitude list.
Here’s some examples of things that make me smile (even when I didn’t think I could):
